Some stories begin with a business idea.

Ours began in the olive groves.

For generations, olive oil has been part of our family’s life—not simply as something we put on the table, but as something connected to family, land, tradition, and the way we were raised.

Lekethos was created to share that tradition with you.

Our family’s olive-oil story now stretches across two places we call home: Greece and California. Though separated by thousands of miles, our groves share the same philosophy: respect the land, respect the fruit, and never compromise the oil.

From Greece...

In the village of Lyrkeia, Greece, our family’s relationship with olive trees reaches back generations.

These are the landscapes that shaped our family—the groves, villages, traditions, and meals that taught us what olive oil is supposed to taste like.

Harvest is still something deeply personal to us. Olives are carefully picked and brought to the mill, where they become the vibrant extra virgin olive oil our family has known for generations.

When we bottle our Greek extra virgin olive oil, we aren't simply importing a product from Greece.

We're bringing a piece of our family's home to yours.

Our story continued in California, where our family established another connection to the land through our olive grove in Hemet, California.

Different soil. Different climate. Different landscape.

But the same standards.

Our California extra virgin olive oil reflects its own terroir and character while remaining true to the philosophy behind Lekethos: raw, unfiltered, single-origin olive oil made with as little interference as possible.

We want the oil in the bottle to remain connected to the place it came from.

Why We Never Want Olive Oil to Become Anonymous

Somewhere along the way, olive oil became just another product on a grocery-store shelf.

We want to bring the story back.

We believe you should know where your olive oil comes from, who grew it, and the land behind it.

That philosophy is becoming an even bigger part of the future of Lekethos.

Our vision is to eventually introduce you to more small farms, villages, growers, and families—allowing each oil to retain its own identity rather than disappearing into a blend.

Because behind a truly special olive oil, there are people.

Four Generations—and the Next One

Perhaps the most meaningful part of Lekethos is watching our children experience the same traditions that came before them.

Walking through the groves. Being there during harvest. Learning where their food comes from. Spending time with family.

Those moments remind us that Lekethos isn't only about preserving what came before us.

It's about passing it forward.

From Greece to California, from one generation to the next, this is our family's story—and we're incredibly grateful to share a small part of it with you.
